Update: Tuesday, 24th March 2020
We’ve had to make some tough decisions at Yogurtland Australia since we gave you our response to coronavirus last week.
We’ve closed our doors, with very heavy hearts, due to the government directives regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. Our team members and our communities are at the heart of Yogurtland and our immediate concern is for their health and safety. As you know, we are a self-serve experience, and we are not able to adapt in a way that would completely safeguard our teams and our guests. We are committed to doing our part to stop the spread of this virus and would not be able to operate in good conscience.
Please know, we deliberated every option, sought advice near and far, and did not make this choice lightly.
So it's a "see ya later" for now but not for forever! Please give us your support during this time by following us on Facebook and Instagram, and we'll keep you up to date as the situation evolves.
We cannot wait to reopen our doors and make bad days good and good days great again! Until then, we love you and thank you for all your support. See you spoon!
Update: Tuesday, 17th March 2020
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we wanted to reach out to let you know the precautionary measures we are taking to ensure the safety of our guests and our team members at Yogurtland. We are guided by the following commitments: to keep our team members and stores safe & supported during these uncertain times; to continue to serve our guests with our high Yogurtland standards; to help slow the spread of the virus in order to protect the most vulnerable members in our communities.
While we have always prided ourselves in having sparkling clean stores, we are adapting to the situation every day and will continue to act according to government, health authority, and local council guidelines. Until advised otherwise, our stores remain open and we have prescribed the following:
Hand sanitiser stations available at every store
Increased sanitation of our self-serve areas including our machine handles and topping bar spoons
Suspended self-serve sample cups
Minimised person-to-person contact
Increased use of gloves in service area
Reinforcement of all current food safety policies & procedures
Clear communication to our team members regarding these increased measures as well as the steps to take should they present as unwell
We encourage you to continue to support local businesses. Please remember that we always have take-away available to help minimise contact and we do offer third party delivery in select locations.
We understand that some of our team members may choose to not attend their shifts at this time and we fully support their decision.
The great thing about Yogurtland is that we are here to make a bad day good and a good day great – something we need now more than ever! We look forward to seeing you in store, while it is considered safe to do so, and thank you for your support during this difficult time.
